It’s All in the Deets

Trick or Treatment
Now that we have been home from the hospital for a few days, Mills has become accustomed to the antibiotics and the breathing treatments that we are using to rehab her from the pneumonia germies. She even SAYS the word “treatment”, which I think is pret-ty damn impressive for a 23 month old!
As we are dealing with our cabin fever, we have been watching our fave shows over and over:
~High School Musical 1 & 2 (which Mills calls “High-sick” ’cause if she tried to say all 3 words AND dance, she might fall down…priorities, people!
~Yo Gabba Gabba, which is mesmerizing, disturbing, and didactic all in the same breath…like a good herbal tea
~an oldie but a goodie, Jack’s Big Music Show
~and, “Tana”, aka Hannah Montana
We have also been playing with everything in the house. When you are climbing the walls like we are, EVERYTHING becomes a toy. Nothing is off limits.
Check out our latest game…giving babies a “treatment”. Mills is such a good nurse!

I hate that I didn’t even know Mills was sick. I am so sorry to hear that. I hope she is making a speedy recovery. Poor gril. BUT she does look super cute and makes a great nurse. Must get that from her mom and grandma.

She’s a cutie, I’m glad she’s well. I used to put the breathing mask on and make like Darth Vader with both my boys. They seemed to dig that.

Pickles + Ice Cream = Cute Baby
You may remember this maternity session, as it probably had you runnin’ for the freezer with a big spoon singing in your best Southern accent, “Blue Bell, the best ice cream in the country!”
Well, that baby had to pop out sooner or later, and here he is in all his glory! Introducing, Reece and his fabulous parents. He’s a tad bit older than a newborn, and he is already a party machine. Reece was rockin’ the Miracle Blanket and still wouldn’t fall asleep for us to get some sleepy-baby photos, but that’s okay…we captured him just as he was that day…a handsome little guy who grins every time he focuses on Mommy or Daddy! My theory is, if the cravings during maternity were hella crazy, the kid has got to come out cute. Reece sure did…check him out!
There is something almost haunting about this next picture that I just love. The soulfulness of the pensive expression take me back to when Millie was a newborn…it is all so new and confusing, yet so inspiring all at once, and Zela’s face tells us that story.
