Deirdre + Eric :: Hitched!
Deirdre + Eric have been patiently waiting for this post. And, of course, they would. They are patient. They are kind. They do not envy or boast or act proud. They are not rude, self-seeking, or easily angered, and keep no records of wrongs. Deirdre + Eric do not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. Deirdre + Eric always protect, always trust, always hope, and always preserve. Deirdre + Eric ARE love.
These are some of the sweetest clients I have EVER worked with, and I feel truly blessed to have been chosen to photograph their wedding day in St. Augustine, Florida…one of my favorite towns on the planet. The love they have for one another can be felt for miles around them, and THAT is something we should all celebrate, my friends! Let’s start by checking out these images, and then we’ll break open the Guinness/Killian’s/Kilkenny/Smithwick’s/etc.
Deirdre’s mom, Maeve, and her sister, Mandy, try to figure it out.

Deirdre loves her bouquet! Who wouldn’t? It’s definitely one of my very favorites!

Speaking of favorites, I love this image. That flying ribbon is so fun! Work it, Maeve!

Poor chica!

Gorgeous!

Speedos were abundant on the beach and, well, not so abundant where they should be.
Know what I mean?

I want a canvas of this.

Wendy Kidd of Each & Every Detail put together perfect details for the day.

Eric was the picture of a beach groom, complete with a laid-back personality and a big smile.

Deirdre’s Uncle Robert walked her down the “aisle”.

When she got there, her Uncle Michael, complete with a real Irish accent, was ready to perform the ceremony.

Married!

Up to the reception, they go!

Their cake was STUNNING. So so so so spot-on for a beach wedding.

Haaaa! Love it!

This has to be a favorite from the day.
Deirdre’s niece, Erin, demonstrates her affection for confection.

Bridesmaid, Sandra let’s us all know what she’s thinking and I love her for that.

Erin got a little carried away with the whole “barefoot on the beach” thing.

Hello, lovah. You know how I feel about reflections! These are scrumptious.

Buckle up…it’s gonna be a wild ride in that Carroll Shelby Cobra!

After the party ended, the newlyweds let Mom & me take them to Magnolia Avenue, one of the nation’s most famous streets.
Not only does the Fountain of Youth exist here, but the live oaks are beyond glorious.
The houses along this street are so cute, we just had to stop and wander.

The fence in front of the Fountain of Youth is made of “taby”, a mixture of sharp oyster shells and some other goop.
Makes for a gorgeous backdrop, no?
